Professional Roles

I am the parent of teenagers, and have been working in public education, based in Maine, for over 20 years. 

I am an antiracist, responsive educator and as a lifelong learner

my work is always evolving.  My focus is on equity.

I am an emergent and expansive learner and teacher, I exist in the ebb and flow of teaching and learning.  

I hold both an Ed.D. and an M.Ed. in Reading Education.  My doctoral dissertation studied the affordances and constraints in the use of picture books as tools to deepen adult senses of identity and belonging.

The natural world grounds me.  My work is based on noticing, naming - curiosity, experience and delight.

I am the lead learner, facilitator, educator - consultant
