All testing is conducted by Dr. Norsworthy. If a client is under 18, an evaluation includes a conversation with the caregiver, to learn more about the client. Your knowledge & observations are an important component of our assessment process.
Using both standardized, research based assessment tools as well as evidence based tools, I understand and make visible a client's strengths and areas for growth in reading. This in-depth reading evaluation includes suggestions and recommendations for instruction. If indicated, this assessment will include thorough testing for dyslexia using the most current standardized testing instrument.
If you decide to support your reader on your own, based on our evaluation, I offer check-in assessments based on your reader's goals.
Tutoring is provided by Dr. Norsworthy. Dr. Norsworthy has held a Master's Degree in Reading Education for over 20 years.
In-person tutoring, based on my evaluation, is available at a mutually convenient community location. Remote tutoring also provided. Depending on areas of focus access to an online library of curated books and activities may be provided, as well as support for strengthening your reader's joyful progress as a reader.
I support for caregivers whose children have been evaluated by me and who wish to provide direct instruction to their reader instead of hiring a tutor. Depending on areas of focus access to an online library of curated books and activities may be provided, as well as support for strengthening your reader's joyful progress as a reader.
